College of Engineering

Established in August 2002, the College of Engineering consists of four departments and one graduate institute. All departments are accredited by the Ministry of Education and the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET).
In 2011, the number of citations for our engineering publications entered the top 1% of publications according to the ESI from the University Evaluation Center. The number of industry–university cooperation projects and publications is expected to enter the top 20 by 2020.
The college, which covers an area of 21,000 square meters, offers an environment favorable for teaching and research. Programs of software engineering, SoC, flat panel displays, basic RFID technology and applications, intelligent machine tools, intelligent robots, and wireless network and communications are offered. In addition to the traditional four-year bachelor’s degree programs, the college also offers 4+1 undergraduate-to-master degree programs.
In collaboration with sister schools, dual-degree programs for undergraduate and graduate levels (i.e., 2+2 and 1+1 programs) are also offered. The goal of the college is to nurture engineering talent that is crucial for the development of research institutions and industries. The College of Engineering will continue to collaborate with internationally renowned universities to establish sister departments and colleges, enabling its students and teachers to acquire international perspectives.
