College of Social Science and Physical Education The College of Social Science and Physical Education, previously a subdivision of the General Education Center, emerged as an independent college through a restructuring of the university in 2004. The college consists of two major departments: Department of Sports and Department of Public Affairs and Civic Education.
The Department of Sports was established in 2001, followed by the Graduate Institute of Applied Sports Science and the Graduate Institute of Sports and Health. The Department of Public Affairs and Civic Education was upgraded from the Division of Law and Politics under the General Education Center in 2008. In 2011, the Graduate Institute of Politics was renamed as the Master Program of Public Affairs and Civic Education and integrated into the Department of Public Affairs and Civic Education.
This college integrates teaching and research resources and encourages students to become modern, responsible citizens with an international perspective. Our mission is to nurture qualiffed teachers in specialized fields such as the sports industry, civic education, and public afairs.
Fundamental knowledge is greatly emphasized, as are professional skills and ethics and values. The college is committed to cultivating professionals who can fexibly apply their knowledge.
