NCUE Ranked 251-300 in Best Universities in Asia-Pacific Region 2019

Times Higher Education (THE) published the 2019 edition of Best Universities in the Asia-Pacific Region. NCUE is ranked in the 251-300 bracket. A total of 31 universities in Taiwan are listed. National Taiwan University (NTU) is ranked at the top among these universities, while NCUE is ranked 25^th. NCUE’s ranking among public universities in Taiwan is 16. Compared to the 2018 edition, some Taiwanese universities remain constant while most fall. Making its debut with the foregoing place in this ranking, NCUE is internationally recognized.

After being ranked 1000⁺ in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, according to the rankings by subject released recently by the THE, NCUE is ranked in the 201-250 band for Education, 801⁺ for Engineering & technology, and 801⁺ for Physical Sciences. In the THE Emerging Economies University Rankings, NCUE is placed in the top 301-350.

In the latest QS Asia University Rankings 2019, NCUE is ranked in the 301-350 band. In the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), NCUE also earns a spot among top 100 universities in Greater China and appears at rank 301-400 in Education globally. Taiwan’s Global Views Monthly placed NCUE 15^th in the category of Law and Business among Taiwan’s universities in 2018. NCUE’s appearances in significant global and local rankings indicate that NCUE’s quality assurance and development have been recognized worldwide.

With the four goals of “Advancing Teaching and Learning, Brightening NCUE Features, Lifting Publicity for Higher Education and Enhancing Service for Local Community” (ABCD) in NCUE’s Taiwan Higher Education Sprout Project, NCUE actively ensures students’ active-learning effectiveness, cultivates their capabilities of creativity and innovation, and Improves their marketability and competitiveness for the future. It provides students with professional interdisciplinary knowledge by encouraging faculty to present research findings, facilitating industry-academy cooperation, and organizing cross-disciplinary research teams. NCUE further offers support for corporate business restructuring and incubation projects based on its research achievement for the purpose of fulfilling its social responsibility.
