OICA Dean Huang Addresses Orientation, Wishes Studying at NCUE to be Exchange Students’ Memorable Experience in Life

Before the semester started, the Office of International and Cross-strait Affairs (OICA) hosted an orientation for 55 exchange students from Mainland China, German, Korea, Japan and Spain. When addressing the occasion, OICA Dean Cindy Huang encouraged students to travel around Taiwan to open horizons and invited them to assume the role of reinforcing the relationships between NCUE and their home universities. She expressed her hope that studying at NCUE becomes a memorable experience for the students. 

Dean Huang indicated that NCUE was ranked among the top 1000 universities in the world. It is known for close relationships between teachers and students. She also expressed her expectations that the exchange students have a wonderful learning experience at NCUE. She encouraged them to travel around while in Taiwan to experience local customs and folk cultures. NCUE has been staying close relationships with its partner universities around the world. Dean Huang invited the students to be the bridges connecting NCUE and their home universities to further strengthen bilateral relationships. 

OICA then played a video sharing former exchange students’ experiences of studying at NCUE. Along with the Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Student Affairs, OICA illustrated some points to help students acclimatize NCUE's living and learning communities and provided more detailed information about Taiwan's culture, hoping that the students have a good start with their studies in Taiwan.
