President Kuo Attends Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Malaysia; NCUE Well Recognized

2018 Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Malaysia was held in the summer. NCUE President Yen-Kuang Kuo led a delegation to the event and visited local Chinese communities and businesses. In addition to exchanging views on the overseas program development, the international mobility enhancement of NCUE faculty and students, and the innovative talents cultivation for local industry, NCUE signed exchange and cooperation agreement with Sunway University. With International Office staff members’ efforts, NCUE fair booth attracted many students asking for study-related information, particularly the Guidance and Consulting program and Business Administration program.

This event was held in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Batu Pahat; nearly 90 Taiwan universities were involved. NCUE President Kuo led Dean Cindy Huang of the International Office and Director Fu-Li Hsiao of the Center of Public Affairs and Career Development to attend the event and visited some local Chinese schools and industries for future cooperation in developing various overseas programs, credit programs and workshops, as well as exchange and internship programs.

NCUE has participated in Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Malaysia for years and has offered master’s programs in a variety of fields in Malaysia since 2008, creating opportunities for extension education for Malaysian people. Further, NCUE Alumni Association in Malaysia was established. All above made NCUE popular at the event so many local students and parents came to the booth asking about the application for admissions.

According to OICA, almost all of the academic programs at NCUE interested Malaysian students. Among them, Guidance and Consulting Program and Business Administration Program were the most popular ones, followed by Biology, Accounting, Chinese, and Fine Arts. Currently at NCUE the highest number of international students are from Malaysia.
